Job Description

Overview

St. Lukes Health System in Boise Idaho is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their growing hospital-based Inpatient Neurosurgery team. The APP is responsible for providing high-quality healthcare through the diagnosis and treatment of acute illness and chronic conditions. The APP works under the supervision of a designated physician and in collaboration with a team of other providers and staff. This position focuses on the care and health management primarily in injuries tumors or other problems of the brain spinal column and nervous is coordinated on the inpatient neuroscience unit as well as the intensive care unit (ICU) and surgical intensive care unit (SICU). APP experience is required for this position.

What to Expect:

  • 12 hr shifts w/ rotating weekends. No Call.
  • $3500 Professional Development Fund
  • Malpractice insurance as well as malpractice tail coverage
  • 5 CME days are included to complete education aside from accrued PTO

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate education from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or qualifying education as designated by the Idaho Board of Nursing.
  • Licenses/Certifications: License and certification as required by the specialty or be eligible to obtain licensure from Idaho Board of Nursing to practice as a Nurse Practitioner. Must obtain and maintain unrestricted prescriptive authority DEA and controlled substance licenses
