Job Title: Accountant Multi-Store Retail Operations
Location: Vernal Utah

Reports To: President / District Manager
About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to oversee financial
operations for a group of independently owned convenience stores. This is a unique
opportunity to play a meaningful role in supporting local businesses while ensuring
accurate financial records compliance and actionable insights that inform smart
decision-making.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with experience in small business or retail
accounting capable of working independently and maintaining consistent
communication with store leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger and store-level financial
records.
Process accounts payable/receivable vendor reconciliations and inventory
accounting.
Prepare monthly P&L statements bank reconciliations and balance sheets.
Support payroll coordination and sales tax filings.
Monitor performance metrics and identify inconsistencies or operational
inefficiencies
Collaborate with store managers and ownership to streamline financial processes
Ensure compliance with local state and federal financial regulations.
Assist with budgeting forecasting and year-end reporting.
Qualifications:
3 years of accounting experience (retail franchise or small business preferred)
Proficiency in QuickBooks Microsoft Excel and general accounting software
Strong attention to detail and organization
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Degree in Accounting Finance or related field preferred (or equivalent
experience)
