Job Description

Advance Wire Products Ltd. (AWP) is North Americas leading designer and manufacturer of innovative merchandising solutions for the retail grocery convenience and pharmacy market. We are growing and have an immediate requirement for an experienced Production Worker to join our Surrey team.


Since 1953 AWP has partnered with clients across North America to collaboratively solve a wide range of merchandizing and display challenges. Our expertise spans wood metal and plastic fixture design and fabrication serving grocery retail pharmacy kiosks and beyond. From consultation to manufacturing to installation AWP will make the most ambitious display ideas a reality.

This is a union position and the successful candidate will become a member of United Steelworkers Local 2009.


    Position Summary:

    This is a full-time unionized position at our facility in Surrey BC. Reporting to the Production Manager the Production Worker II performs general labour material handling and assembly duties involved in the manufacture of custom retail fixtures.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform general labour tasks including clean-up duties and materials handling
    • Operate machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently
    • Assemble products according to specifications
    • Maintain companys quality and productivity standards
    • Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs (23kg) as required
    • Maintain a clean safe and organized work area
    • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management


    Skills & Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (23kg)
    • Positive attitude and team-first mindset
    • Ability to follow instructions stay focused and work under pressure
    • Detail-oriented with basic problem-solving skills
    • Prior experience in manufacturing or warehouse preferred
    • Good verbal communications skills
