Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN) Acute Care Labor & Delivery
Location: Providence St. Joseph Medical Center
Schedule Options:

Full-Time Night Shift

Per Diem / On-Call Variable Shifts
Providence St. Joseph Medical Center is seeking compassionate and experienced Registered Nurses to join our Labor & Delivery team. In this acute care role you will provide comprehensive evidence-based nursing care to patients and families throughout the childbirth journey ensuring safety dignity and personalized support every step of the way.
You will play a critical role in promoting positive outcomes during labor delivery and the immediate postpartum period in alignment with the Montana Nurse Practice Act the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics and established clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities-
Deliver professional patient-centered care for laboring individuals and their newborns in an acute care setting.

Monitor fetal and maternal well-being assist during labor and delivery procedures and support post-delivery recovery.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans.

Educate patients and families on labor expectations newborn care and postpartum recovery.

Maintain accurate timely documentation in accordance with hospital protocols and regulatory requirements.

Uphold safety infection control and best practices throughout care delivery.

Graduation from an accredited nursing program.

Montana Registered Nurse License upon hire.

Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association upon hire.

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) American Academy of Pediatrics within 90 days of hire.

Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferably in labor & delivery or womens health.

National Certification in Labor & Delivery or related specialty (preferred upon hire).
