Assess diagnose and treat communication and swallowing disorders in adult patients
Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate care with PT OT nursing and medical staff
Document patient evaluations and progress using UDS and Cerner EHR systems
Educate patients families and caregivers on communication strategies and therapy goals
Participate in team meetings discharge planning and interdisciplinary rounds
Maintain professional and ethical standards of practice
Comply with all regulatory and documentation standards
Shift: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Guaranteed Weekly Hours: PRN
Weekend Hours: Required on a rotation basis

Patient Population: Adult Acute Rehab
Common Diagnoses: Neurological conditions Parkinsons disease general debility
Required:
Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
Valid BLS Certification
Minimum of 1 year experience in adult patient care
Masters degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology
Arizona state licensure in Speech Language Pathology (or eligibility)
Preferred:
Prior experience in acute inpatient rehabilitation
Familiarity with neuro-based therapy approaches
Calm professional and efficient demeanor
Collaborative and flexible team player
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
