Job Description

Weekly Pay $55.67/hour Speech Language Pathologist at Everest Rehab Hospital San Antonio

- Assess diagnose and treat adult and geriatric patients with communication and swallowing disorders in an acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital.
- Develop and implement individualized speech language cognitive and swallowing therapy plans for patients recovering from stroke brain injury neurological conditions trauma spinal cord injury amputation and orthopedic injuries.
- Provide therapy sessions to improve communication and swallowing function.
- Educate patients families and staff on communication strategies and safe swallowing practices.
- Document assessments treatment plans progress and outcomes in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient recovery and participate in discharge planning.
- Serve an adult and geriatric patient population with complex medical and neurological conditions.
- Requires a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology ASHA CCC-SLP certification Texas SLP licensure (or eligibility) BLS certification and strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
