Job Description
- Provide physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for adults and geriatric patients in a 52-bed inpatient rehab hospital.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions to restore function improve mobility and promote independence for patients recovering from traumatic injury or illness (e.g. TBI SCI orthopedic trauma).
- Manage a caseload of 4 5 patients per day with an expectation of 6 hours of direct patient care daily.
- Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team (OT Speech Nursing Physicians) to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients and families on exercises recovery strategies and safety practices for home.
- Document all assessments treatments and progress in the Cerner EHR system.
- Monitor patient progress adjust treatment plans and ensure a safe motivating rehab environment.
- Work per diem with flexible scheduling and no call or float requirements.
- Maintain compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
- Position requires an active CA PT license minimum 2 years acute rehab/care experience and a degree from an accredited PT program.
- Ideal candidates are organized compassionate adaptable and strong team players with excellent neuro and orthopedic rehab skills.
