JOB TITLE: Aircraft Structural Mechanic I
LOCATION: Savannah GA
PAY RATE: $21.21/hour

Summary:
-
Perform structural assembly tasks in accordance with company specifications and quality standards.
-
This includes layout fitting drilling riveting and installation of parts and assemblies on aircraft.
-
Perform safe assembly fitting and riveting of structural components.
-
Use tools such as riveting guns drills countersinks reamers and shavers.
-
Read and interpret work orders blueprints sketches and operation sheets.
-
Ensure work meets quality standards before final inspection.
-
Maintain required documentation (e.g. MIR sheets DMTs PCOs).
-
Align and assemble parts using jigs fixtures and fasteners.
-
Perform repairs and rework per DMTs MRRs and PCOs.
-
Maintain a clean and safe work area; support 5S and safety initiatives.
-
Properly dispose of waste materials (e.g. oils fuels solvents).
-
Accurately charge time to jobs.
-
Communicate job status across shifts.
-
Assist in equipment upkeep and support Lean initiatives.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
-
High School Diploma or GED required
-
Minimum 2 years of structural assembly experience
-
Experience with Solumina and SmarTeam preferred
-
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use precision measuring tools
-
Basic computer and math skills
-
Ability to read scales and follow instructions
-
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines
-
Good housekeeping and safety practices
-
Experience with composite materials preferred
-
Ability to work any shift and in confined spaces; lift up to 50 lbs

Must read write speak and understand English

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
