Overview:
Seeking a Senior CDN Control Plane Engineer to drive the functional design and implementation of a unified configuration platform spanning multiple CDN providers. The engineer will focus on scalable secure and automated CDN infrastructure for a leading financial institution.
Position:
6 month contract senior/lead role with a strong emphasis on functional design (70%) and technical implementation (30%).
Responsibilities:

Lead functional design for CDN configuration across major providers (Cloudflare Akamai F5).

Develop and maintain a unified configuration/DSL platform for CDN management.

Collaborate with architecture security and DevOps teams to ensure resilience and scalability.

Implement automation for CDN deployment and change management.

Provide expertise in networking (routing switching firewalls load balancing).
-
Optimize CDN performance reliability and security.
-
Document solutions and provide knowledge transfer to stakeholders.
Requirement Qualifications:
-
7 years of CDN configuration and functional design experience.
-
Hands-on with Cloudflare Akamai F5.
-
Strong networking (routing switching firewalls load balancing).
-
Familiarity with NetScout/Arbor (network monitoring/DDoS protection).
-
Experience in automation/scripting (Python Terraform Ansible).
-
Excellent communication/documentation skills.
Candidate Details:

Must have prior hands-on CDN configuration/design experience.

Open to senior-level engineers with a proven track record in multi-CDN environments.

Strong communicator with functional and technical expertise.
