Job Summary:
This position is for a Phlebotomist at an acute care hospital with 488 beds. The Phlebotomist will collect blood samples potentially float between two locations (Mission Viejo and Laguna Beach) and work weekends (at least every other likely more). On-call responsibilities are required. A minimum of two years of experience is preferred.
Location: Mission Viejo California United States
Responsibilities:
- Collect blood samples from patients.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures.
- Potentially float between Mission Viejo and Laguna Beach locations.
- Work weekends (at least every other likely more).
- Respond to on-call requests.
- Use EPIC/handheld Rover device (preferred).
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum two years of experience (preferred).
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification.
- Current CPT-1 certification.
- Active Phlebotomist license (pending licenses not accepted).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to float between locations.
- Willingness to work weekends and on-call.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in a trauma center.
- Experience using EPIC/handheld Rover device.
Special Considerations:
- On-call responsibilities are required.
- Floating between Mission Viejo and Laguna Beach is required.
- Weekend work will exceed every other weekend.
- Block scheduling is at the managers discretion.
- RTO (return to office) must be included at time of submission.
- The facility is able to call off once per two-week pay period.
Scheduling:
- Shift times are not specified but shifts may be scheduled between Mission Viejo and Laguna Beach.
- Weekend work is required (at least every other likely more).
