Summary:
We are seeking a Medical Assistant for a temp-to-perm opportunity at its Pulmonary Clinics in Spokane WA. This role starts as a 13-week contract at the South Pulmonary Clinic with the possibility of converting to a permanent position at the North Pulmonary Clinic. Candidates must have at least 2 years of recent experience a valid WA MA-C license and reliable local transportation. This is a high-visibility role requiring strong clinical and communication skills.
Record patient history medications and allergies
Room patients and assist with vital signs (BP temperature respirations pulse)
Perform vision and hearing screenings
Assist with and set up for procedures (including nebulizer treatments and immunizations)
Conduct specimen collection (urine throat venipuncture) and label samples appropriately
Administer TB tests and remove sutures as needed
Support office functions: telephone triage patient follow-ups and pharmacy refill requests
Use electronic health records (any system; Epic experience preferred)
Float within skillset as needed between pulmonary clinic sites
Local candidates only must reside near Spokane WA
Must be flexible to transition from South to North Pulmonary Clinic
Must have reliable personal transportation
Temp-to-perm opportunity strong candidates will be prioritized
No weekends or on-call shifts required
Must submit all RTO at time of submission
Must hold WA MA-C license in hand at submission
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; formal Medical Assistant training program completion preferred
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient setting required
Experience in adult outpatient care pulmonary or specialty clinics preferred
License:
WA Medical Assistant Certified (MA-C) Required
BLS Certification Required
Skills:
Experience working in adult outpatient clinics
Strong understanding of healthcare terminology and clinical procedures
Comfortable using EMRs (Epic preferred)
Excellent communication triage and multitasking skills
Clinical proficiency in specimen collection injections TB tests and suture removal
