We are seeking a reliable and experienced Medical Assistant (MA-C) to support adult outpatient clinic operations for a 16-week contract assignment with strong potential for temp-to-perm placement. This role is ideal for local candidates who meet the 50-mile distance requirement and are looking to grow within a high-functioning clinical environment. Experience with Epic healthcare terminology and outpatient workflows is required.
Candidates must provide 3 confirmed interview time slots with time zones upon submission. A no-call/no-show for the interview will disqualify the candidate from all future roles within the system.
Responsibilities:Room patients and perform initial assessments including vital signs vision and hearing screening
Record patient history medications and allergies in the EMR (Epic)
Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
Administer immunizations nebulizer treatments and TB tests
Collect and label laboratory specimens (urine throat swabs venipuncture)
Conduct point-of-care testing including blood glucose monitoring
Perform suture removals and follow-up patient phone calls
Manage front-office tasks such as telephone triage and pharmacy refill requests
Float within outpatient departments as needed based on skillset
Must be MA-C certified in WA (MA-R not accepted)
Must have reliable personal transportation
BLS certification required
Epic EMR experience required
Must be available for 3 confirmed interview time slots at submission
Local candidates only 50-mile radius rule applies
Travel experience not required
First-time travelers accepted
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
Experience:Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Assistant experience in an adult outpatient clinical setting
License/Certifications:Washington MA-C certification required (MA-R not accepted)
BLS (AHA) required
Clinical Skills:
Blood pressure pulse temperature respiration
Hearing and vision screening
Immunizations and nebulizer treatments
Venipuncture and specimen collection (urine/throat)
TB test administration
Suture removal
Office & EMR:
Epic EMR (required)
Telephone triage
Prescription refill coordination
Documentation of patient history and allergies
Professional Skills:
Strong understanding of medical terminology
Comfortable floating between departments
Excellent communication and organizational skills
