Summary:
We are actively seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to support a full-time 13-week contract in a dynamic and high-volume IR setting. Candidates will assist in a wide range of complex vascular neurological genitourinary and cardiac interventional procedures. This position includes on-call responsibilities (1 2 weekdays/week and rotating weekends) and is open to first-time travelers with at least 2 years of experience.
Assist with and perform a range of interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty stent placements biopsies embolizations and thrombolysis
Participate in cardiac cath lab procedures including PTCA cardiac stent placements and hemodynamic monitoring
Support neurologic and genitourinary interventions such as carotid angiography vertebroplasty biliary drainages and nephrograms
Maintain sterile fields and follow proper scrub circulate and equipment setup protocols
Provide care and maintenance for central venous access devices PICC lines and ports
Utilize PACS systems for image capture and documentation
Monitor patients during and after procedures with attention to vital signs sedation and contrast reaction monitoring
Participate in call rotations and be available for urgent/emergent IR cases outside of scheduled shifts
Minimum 2 years of recent IR Tech experience in acute care or high-volume settings
Must be comfortable with a wide scope of interventional procedures across body systems
Strong competency in contrast administration biopsies cardiac monitoring and outpatient prep/recovery tasks
Must be flexible with on-call rotations and short-notice procedural support
RTO must be included at the time of submission
Must be able to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary IR team
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Experience:
At least 2 years of hands-on IR Tech experience
Experience in trauma cardiovascular and neurovascular interventional procedures preferred
License:
Required:
ARRT (R) certification
Washington State Radiologic Technologist license
Fluoroscopy Permit
LA Fire Card (if applicable)
No pending licenses accepted
Certifications:
Required: BLS
Preferred: ACLS
