Job Description
This Medical Assistant position requires providing clinical and administrative support in an outpatient cardiology clinic. The role involves patient interaction data entry into electronic medical records (Epic) and assisting with various clinical tasks. Prior healthcare experience knowledge of healthcare terminology and proficiency in Epic are essential. A current Washington state Medical Assistant license is required.
- Obtaining patient vital signs and medical history.
- Preparing patients for examinations and procedures.
- Administering medications as directed by a physician.
- Performing basic laboratory tests and collecting specimens.
- Maintaining patient records and charting in Epic.
- Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
- Answering phones and handling patient inquiries.
- Sterilizing and maintaining medical equipment.
- Performing other administrative tasks as needed.
- BLS certification.
- Experience in healthcare healthcare terminology and Epic.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Cardiology experience.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- No on-call requirements.
- Weekend work is not required.
- First-timers are accepted.
- Pending licenses are not accepted. License must be in hand.
- RTO restrictions to be confirmed with the hiring manager.
- 5 x 8-hour days. Specific shift details to be confirmed.
