Job Title : Senior Storage & Backup Engineer - SAN/NAS / Cloud Platforms / Data Protection
Job Type : C2C / W2
Experience : 8-15 Years
Location : San Jose California (On-Site)
Responsibilities:

Experience as a Storage Engineer or similar role.
-
Hands-on experience with SAN/NAS technologies (NetApp Dell EMC HP 3PAR Pure Storage etc.).
-
Strong knowledge of RAID levels data striping mirroring and parity techniques.
-
Experience with backup solutions such as Veeam Commvault Rubrik or NetBackup.
-
Experience with cloud-based storage systems (AWS Azure Google Cloud).
-
Exposure to software-defined storage (SDS) and hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI).
-
Familiarity with ITIL processes and enterprise ticketing systems (e.g. ServiceNow).
-
Familiarity with storage protocols (iSCSI NFS FC SMB/CIFS).
-
Good understanding of disaster recovery and business continuity practices.
-
Scripting knowledge (e.g. PowerShell Bash) is a plus.
-
Certifications such as SNIA SCSP NetApp NCDA/NCIE Dell EMC Proven Professional are preferred.

Manage configure and maintain SAN (Storage Area Network) and NAS (Network Attached Storage) systems from vendors like NetApp Dell EMC Hitachi etc.

Administer and optimize RAID arrays and ensure efficient storage performance and redundancy.

Implement manage and monitor enterprise backup and recovery solutions (e.g. Veeam Commvault Veritas NetBackup).

Monitor storage performance availability and capacity planning using tools such as SolarWinds Nagios or vendor-native tools.

Ensure data protection replication and disaster recovery strategies are in place and regularly tested.

Provide storage-related support for virtual environments (e.g. VMware Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS S3/EBS Azure Blob).

Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and coordinate with vendors for resolution.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelors in engineering computer science or any other related field.
