Process Quality Assurance: Develop implement and maintain robust quality control plans and procedures for manufacturing processes.
Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions: Lead investigations into process-related quality issues identify root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing and SPC (Statistical Process Control) to enhance process capability and reduce variability.
Audits & Compliance: Conduct internal process audits to ensure adherence to quality management systems (e.g. IATF 16949 ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements. Support external audits as needed.
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed quality reports analyze data and present findings to management. Maintain accurate documentation of quality procedures non-conformances and corrective actions.
New Product Introduction (NPI) Support: Collaborate with R&D and production teams to ensure quality considerations are integrated from the design phase through to mass production. Participate in APQP activities (Advanced Product Quality Planning).
Supplier Quality (as needed): Work with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components addressing any supplier-related quality issues.
Training & Mentorship: Provide training and guidance to production personnel on quality standards procedures and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Production Industrial or equivalent).
5-8 years of progressive experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment preferably in the automotive or related industry.
Strong knowledge and practical experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as IATF 169949 and/or ISO 9001.
Proficiency in core quality tools and methodologies: APQP PPAP FMEA MSA SPC.
Proven experience in root cause analysis techniques (e.g. 8D 5 Why Fishbone diagrams).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
Strong communication interpersonal and presentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt).
