Pay Rate: $ 21.00 / hour
We have partnered with a large manufacturing company in the Minneapolis MN area to provide them with a Lab Technician. Please review the description below and let us know if you are interested.
Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Lab Technician:
#1. High School Degree or equivalent.
#2. Lab experience
Responsibilities of the Lab Technician:
This Technician position for the General Industrial division that is responsible for a variety of exciting activities related to developing products and technologies for the Powder Group.
The technician will be involved in the efficient operation of the lab general housekeeping ensuring a safe work environment and will independently perform tasks as outlined by his/her supervisor/manager.
- Performing basic paint making processes and creating formulations that meet manufacturers specifications
- Working with various powder coating technologies including Epoxy Hybrid PET TGIC/HAA and Urethane product types
- Assists with developing reports and documents detailing test project and overall results.
- Comply with test methods according to set standards.
- Document all formulation processes.
- Function with sustained supervision and write simple reports outlining procedures used and the results obtained.
- Complete proper forms and documents when necessary.
- Comply with all safety and security regulations and maintain a clean work area.
- Communicate with internal as well as external customers.
- Manage work in accordance of timeline goals.
- Adhere to company safety and quality standards at all times.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Organize work to use time efficiently.
- Seek assistance on priorities for scheduling work.
- Verbally communicate routine information to supervisor and others in platform.
- Recognize routine requirements and selects proper simple procedures for obtaining desired results to solve problems.
Requirements of the Lab Technician:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of basic math skills required.
- Computer knowledge for basic inputting communication and data analysis required.
- Familiarity with scientific principles products and/or processes required.
- 1-4 years of experience in a laboratory preferred.
Other Key Requirements for Lab Technician:
- This is a 9-month temp position.
- Onsite opportunity First shift
- US Citizen or Green Card Holder
