Job Description
Essential Skills and Experience
- 4 year engineering/construction management degree or equivalent technical and/or related experience
- Minimum 8 years of estimating and/or construction experience in the Heavy Civil and or Environmental market
- Experience with estimating and takeoff software preferred (HCSS Bluebeam On-Screen takeoff Agtek)
- Advanced math and computer skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of standard industry cost accounting estimating and project management procedures
- Ability to estimate all types of projects with varying contract mechanisms
- Ability to maintain trust and credibility with co-workers
- Ability to continually develop personal effectiveness with consideration for communication self-awareness and building trust
- Ability to be open to positive and constructive feedback as a tool for learning and professional development
- Ability to create maintain and support a loyal team that seeks to engage in learning development and relationship building
- Ability to participate in the writing and review of proposals that are associated with the estimate.
