Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Prepare individual corporate and partnership tax returns including tax planning and strategy.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to clients on accounting and financial matters.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients addressing inquiries and providing exceptional service.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff providing guidance and support for their professional development.
- Stay current with industry trends regulatory changes and tax laws to ensure compliance and enhance client service.
Qualifications:
- Active CPA license required.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field (Masters degree is a plus).
- 10 years of public accounting experience with a strong understanding of accounting and tax principles.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop and Online) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word etc.).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to clients.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team managing multiple projects and deadlines.
