Position Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Scientist to join our team. This role will be instrumental in turning complex real-world data into actionable insights and innovative solutions that drive business outcomes. You will work across the full data science lifecycle from data acquisition to model deployment collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to solve real business problems and deliver measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire clean and process structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
- Perform in-depth Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to identify trends anomalies and insights
- Translate business challenges into well-structured data science problems
- Build train and evaluate predictive models using statistical and machine learning techniques
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deploy scalable models into production
- Communicate technical results clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Continuously improve models and workflows based on feedback and business changes
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in machine learning and data science
Skills Required:
- Strong experience with real-world data acquisition cleaning and analysis
- Proficiency in statistical modeling and machine learning techniques
- Experience with data science tools/libraries such as Python Pandas SQL scikit-learn
- Strong EDA capabilities and ability to derive insights from large datasets
- Familiarity with model deployment processes and production environments
- Ability to communicate complex results in a business-friendly manner
- Proven ability to convert business needs into data-driven solutions
Skills Preferred:
- Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud environments
- Familiarity with TensorFlow PyTorch or similar machine learning frameworks
- Background in the automotive industry or experience with telematics and sensor data
Experience Required:
- Hands-on experience with data manipulation analysis and machine learning model development
- Proficiency in tools like SQL Python Pandas
Experience Preferred:
- Experience working in or with teams in the automotive industry
Education Required:
- Masters degree in Statistics Mathematics Computer Science or a related quantitative field
Education Preferred:
- PhD in a quantitative discipline
