Data Engagement Coordinator

Reports To: Executive Director
Salary Range: $45000 - $50000 depending on education training and experience

Position Summary
The Data Engagement Coordinator helps parishes across the Archdiocese of New Orleans collect and harness their data to strengthen digital outreach communications and engagement while promoting the effective use of their parish data system ParishSOFT. This position requires both strong technical expertise and a pastoral heart to support parish leaders in transforming data into discipleship.
What Youll Do
Digital Engagement for Parishes
Build and maintain relationships with parish administrators staff and ministry leaders to create a network of trust and shared learning.
Train and coach parish leaders on using data for outreach-e.g. digital Clarion Herald distribution data collection best practices identifying lapsed parishioners segmenting communications or tracking sacramental engagement.
Conduct workshops and provide one-on-one or group support on leveraging Customer Relationship Management (CRM) data for digital ministry goals.
Advise parishes on integrating data insights with tools like email marketing online giving platforms websites and social media.
Data & CRM Management
Support data entry collection and reporting processes for all Archdiocesan parishes using ParishSOFT. This includes supporting efforts such as the annual parish census.
Encourage accuracy integrity and accessibility of parish records and assist in the generation of reports as needed.
Serve as the primary technical liaison for ParishSOFT users across parishes-troubleshooting issues offering guidance and maintaining user support.
Document workflows application features and training materials to support consistent user adoption.

Assist in analyzing and synthesizing data from multiple sources to support informed pastoral and administrative decision-making.
Monitor and report on project and system updates to all key stakeholders.
Help create storytelling practices that use data to celebrate parish impact increase transparency and foster donor and parishioner engagement.
Foundation Support
Provide digital engagement support for the overall communication efforts of the Foundation.
Help the foundation utilize data to engage donors in the philanthropic process.
Preferred Qualifications
Practicing Catholic with a heart for evangelization and parish renewal.
Bachelors degree in Information Systems Theology Communications or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years experience with database/CRM systems preferably within a nonprofit or parish setting.
Proficiency in ParishSOFT or similar systems (e.g. Parish Data Systems - PDS) including familiarity with their integration with other digital platforms such as online giving email marketing websites and content management systems to create a cohesive digital ministry environment.
Strong analytical troubleshooting and training skills.
Proven ability and willingness to quickly learn and adapt to new software applications and technologies.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication abilities.
Demonstrated patience empathy and a supportive approach when assisting individuals with varying levels of technical comfort and experience.
Ability to manage multiple projects with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Must be a self-starter who thrives in both independent and team environments.
Impeccable integrity confidentiality and a positive can-do attitude.
Willingness to travel throughout the Archdiocese (within approx. 90 minutes of New Orleans).
Preferred Skills
Bilingual (Spanish/English/Vietnamese) is a strong plus.
Familiarity with Flocknote Mailchimp eCatholic or similar platforms.
Experience in digital communications or marketing is a plus.
Experience with software testing or technical support.
Prior experience in parish ministry or diocesan leadership roles.
