This training program has a competitive selection process that requires submitting your Childrens Wisconsin application meeting eligibility requirements interviews and taking a TABE test assessment for meeting the required English and Math skill levels. Please see the recruitment timeline listed below for more information. Must be a Milwaukee County resident required to meet grant funding eligibility. High School Diploma or GED required. Prior customer service experience is required. Prior healthcare experience is required. TABE score equal to a 6th grade level in reading & math. TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education) is essentially a placement test. All candidates interested in being considered for the program must take and pass the test with at least a 6th grade level in reading & math. For more information and FREE study resources forTABEclick here. Availability to continue working as a medical assistant for 2 years at Childrens Wisconsin after completing the training program. Must meet grant eligibility requirements required (See below). MAAPET is funded in whole or in part by the Department of Labor Nursing Expansion Grant. This project is funded in whole or in part by the Department of Labor Nursing Expansion Grant You must meet grant eligibility requirements to participate in this program. Once you complete the application you will be directed to an eligibility form to complete.
