Description

The Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing is committed to attracting world-class faculty to advance the Schools mission to educate visionary nurse leaders and scholars generate and apply knowledge and transform nursing health and systems of health care within the local and global community. We are seeking applications for tenured and tenure-track faculty positions; specifically mid-career and senior externally funded scholars. Areas of specialization are welcomed in Health Informatics and/or Data Science/artificial intelligence related to health care including mHealth and eHealth; environmental/climate science neuroscience/dementia aging/caregiving global health clinical research (i.e. Womens Health Diabetes Care Oncology Cardiovascular Renal Brain Health Symptom Science); and Social Determinants of Health. However well-qualified individuals with other specializations are also encouraged to apply. Individuals from the discipline of nursing are preferred.

As an integral part of the Robert W. Woodruff Health Sciences Center of Emory University the School of Nursing maintains and seeks to extend research leadership and collaborative relationships with Emorys strong interdisciplinary initiatives in: Cardiovascular Health Data Science Omics and Genetics/Genomics Neuroscience and Palliative Care. The School provides many other interdisciplinary collaborative opportunities including with colleagues in Emorys Rollins School of Public Health Emorys College of Arts and Sciences Georgia Institute of Technology Georgia State University and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Appointments may be made at the ranks of Associate or Full Professor commensurate with experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidates must possess a research doctorate have evidence of post-doctoral training and anactively funded program of research.
  • Candidates at the associate and full professor level should have evidence of a sustained extramurally funded program of research and strong track record of publications commiserate with the rank they are seeking.
  • Candidates who are nurses must hold or be eligible for licensure in the State of Georgia.
