Who This Role Is For

Youre not new to the chaos of an ER youve got the confidence skills and steady hand it takes to manage everything from multi-trauma cases to pediatric fevers. You operate well on a night shift prefer hands-on autonomy and understand that patients and families depend on your calm decisive care.

Must-Have Qualifications

To be considered for this role all the following are required:

Valid RN license in Kentucky (or multistate compact license)
Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 30 days of hire

Preferred But Not Required

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Handle with Care (HWC) certification within 6 months of hire
Solid understanding of trauma triage ESI and pediatric resuscitation
Experience in rural or high-volume emergency departments

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

In this fast-paced team-oriented ER youll be expected to:

• Assess triage and prioritize incoming patients using critical thinking and clinical judgment

• Carry out all components of the nursing process including med administration documentation and re-evaluations

• Monitor patient conditions vital signs and mental status communicate changes immediately

• Provide age-appropriate care across the lifespan from infants to seniors

• Coordinate with physicians lab radiology and transport for efficient patient throughput

• Respond to code situations and medical emergencies with poise and competence

• Educate patients and families on condition management and follow-up care

• Maintain clean safe and compliant work areas following all infection control and safety protocols

• Document all assessments and interventions thoroughly and accurately in the EMR
