The Norfolk Record Office is looking for someone to help deliver its exciting project Hall Marks: The Long Shadows of Norfolks Lost Country Houses. Using the Offices extensive archival collections the project will look at the impact of Norfolks lost estates of which there are over a hundred. Using lost country houses and their estates as a starting point the project will also support the public to research a home of any size land or local area and to a improve access to a key resource for such research. The projects main funder is The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
The successful candidate will help facilitate the projects volunteer programmes with a focus on processing and checking data and helping with making historical sources more accessible. You will also assist with digitisation of archive materials and the creation of learning resources.
We are looking for someone who can work collaboratively and have strong communication and organisational skills. You should be comfortable working with spreadsheets and have an eye for detail and accuracy.
