Franklin Public Schools is seeking an energetic creative and innovative Audio/Visual Teacher. The successful candidate must have experience teaching Video and Television Production and be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite Adobe Photoshop and Apple Final Cut Pro X. We are looking for a motivated individual with a passion for encouraging and inspiring students to develop technical and creative skills in audio/visual arts and media of Responsibilities:-Teach and oversee instruction in video and television production including pre-production filming editing and broadcasting.-Create and direct the weekly student news broadcast and other multimedia projects.-Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs interests and abilities of the students.-Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.-Prepare engaging lessons and instructional materials that integrate industry-standard software and technology.-Encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.-Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals establishing clear objectives for all lessons units and projects.-Collaborate with colleagues to examine student data plan curriculum and ensure appropriate learning experiences for all students.-Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media to engage learners with diverse needs and abilities.-Assess student accomplishments regularly and provide progress reports as required.-Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students equipment materials and facilities.-Maintain accurate complete and correct records as required by law district policy and administrative regulation.-Assist the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct.-Strive to maintain and improve professional competence in the field of audio/visual production and :-Bachelors Degree required.-Appropriate Massachusetts DESE license for instructional level and subject area.-SEI Endorsement if applicable.-Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite Adobe Photoshop and Apple Final Cut Pro.-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.-Strong understanding of video and television production techniques and pedagogy.-Effective classroom management skills.-Ability to reflect on teaching practices and student learning data to drive instructional decisions.-Willingness to collaborate with faculty and Public Schools is committed to maintaining an environment that is free from discrimination and harassment in accordance with state and federal law.
