Jhpiego is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Communications Manager to manage and execute communications planning to promote AlignMNH a global initiative founded in 2020 to accelerate progress in improving maternal and newborn health (MNH) and preventing stillbirths around the globe. Additional communications leadership support will be given toUSAIDs MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership (MCGL) project; and USAIDs Reaching Impact Saturation and Epidemic Control (RISE)

Specific to AlignMNH this position will oversee communications content strategy and digital media. This includes leading the implementation of innovative approaches to disseminate knowledge through social media newsletters events the knowledge hub and other engagement and outreach strategies to amplify and promote and other to include specifically the International Maternal Newborn Health Conference 2026 (IMNHC 2026).
This position will promote and enhance the exchange of maternal and newborn health technical knowledge through managing an integrated content planning strategy which includes content creation curation planning and research by creatively engaging audiences online and producing engaging content types that resonate with users. The position is responsible for contributing to the overall content strategy of the initiatives public facing website known as the knowledge hub and a multitude of digital media channels (new and existing) and other convenings (in addition to IMNHC 2026).
Additionally this position is responsible for communicating the mission country programs technical leadership resources and success stories as well as for leading and planning external events and for developing strategic communications activities to various targeted audiences for the MCGL and RISE projects. This includes seeking opportunities to highlight project leadership country programs and work initiatives products and results through featured articles collateral photography web and social media mediums and high-visibility domestic and international events meetings and conferences. This position also manages MCGLs and RISEs robust publications pipeline acts as primary liaison on communications for MCGL and RISE country teams and leads communications reporting processes and global adherence to USAID branding and marking guidelines.

The salary range for this role is expected to be: $102944 - $134039
Total Rewards:
The referenced salary range is based on Johns Hopkins Universitys good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location work experience market conditions education/training and skill level. JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.
