About our unit
Since 1991 Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital has been recognized as a Level 1 trauma center by the American College of Surgeons. As West Michigans only level 1 trauma center our multidisciplinary teams provide collaborative comprehensive care to our community and the surrounding regions. Our multidisciplinary teams work rapidly to provide comprehensive care for critical injuries with the ultimate goal of helping patients return home with restored health and function.

Since 1873 we have been growing and building a reputation of excellence in care diagnostics treatment prevention and education. It is the flagship hospital for Corewell Health Grand Rapids Hospitals.
Scope of work
Responsibility for coordinating the services provided by multiple disciplines within and outside the health system. Exercises independent judgment in the assessment diagnosis initiation of selected protocols/procedures. Provides educational support for patients/significant others health team members and the community and coordinates evaluation practices to measure outcomes of programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelors in nursing Required
- Masters in nursing Preferred
- 2 5 years of Trauma care experience (inpatient or ED) Required
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
