Job Description

Job Opportunity: Centralized Purchasing Analyst
KAAPA is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Centralized Purchasing Analyst to join our team in Kearney. This position involves coordinating procurement activities across our facilities in Kearney Minden Elm Creek Ravenna and Aurora with a strong focus on optimizing purchasing processes and ensuring cost-effective sourcing for all plant operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with management and the finance department to identify opportunities for scaling purchasing power across multiple locations.
  • Analyze purchasing data to determine where group pricing can be negotiated with vendors to lower costs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure the best pricing and terms for the company.
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities and cost-saving initiatives to management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all purchasing activities.

Working Hours:

  • Monday - Friday: 8am - 4:30pm with additional hours required throughout the year

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Finance Supply Chain Management or a related field
  • Proven experience in purchasing procurement or supply chain management
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large datasets
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
