Position Title: Litigation Support Specialist

Department: Legal
Location: Minneapolis MN
Reports To: Litigation Support Manager
Job Type: Full-time / Contract

Additional Information: This is in the proposal phase.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Litigation Support Specialist to join our Legal Department. This role is responsible for providing technical and administrative support throughout the litigation process including eDiscovery document management and trial preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support attorneys and paralegals in organizing case materials and electronic files.

  • Provide technical advice to litigation teams on legal automation options system capabilities and support services available to aid in case preparation trial preparation and trial presentations.

  • Recommend software packages including database spreadsheet and word processing applications based on which software would be most effective for organization and management of information and documents presentation of complex and voluminous evidence or production of graphic demonstrative evidence.

  • Install configure and maintain litigation support equipment.

  • Perform testing quality assurance configuration installation implementation and maintenance of LS resources. Ensure system availability functionality integrity and efficiency.

  • Develop standards and procedures for applications.

  • Coordinate with Litigation Support Manager and analyze automated litigation support and recommend changes to improve support and to increase the system efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Manage litigation databases and assist with document review workflows.

  • Handle eDiscovery tasks: data collection processing review and production.

  • Maintain litigation support tools.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and outside vendors for data and trial services.

  • Assist in preparing exhibits timelines and digital presentations for trial.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in litigation support or eDiscovery.

  • Strong understanding of legal processes (both civil and criminal law) and data management best practices.

  • Proficiency with litigation support software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Project management principles and methods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in legal studies IT or a related field.

  • ACEDS certification or Paralegal Certificate.

  • Familiarity with scripting/automation is a plus.

  • Current or previous federal government clearance.
