Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced confident and compassionate Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team and serve as a clinical and cultural leader within the hospital. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment enjoys mentoring others and maintains a high standard of patient care and client communication. Youll work alongside our DVMs veterinary assistants and CSRs to ensure smooth daily operations and foster a positive cohesive team dynamic.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide hands-on high-quality veterinary technical support in all areas of patient care including anesthetic monitoring dental procedures surgical prep and recovery laboratory diagnostics and client education.

  • Serve as a liaison between the technical team and hospital leadership ensuring clear communication training and accountability.
  • Oversee and maintain clinical protocols patient flow and efficient scheduling of procedures.
  • Mentor and train veterinary assistants and support team members; help onboard new hires.
  • Monitor inventory and ensure all equipment and medical supplies are maintained and organized.
  • Champion a team-based approach to patient care prioritizing safety empathy and efficiency.
  • Support a healthy clinic culture by encouraging collaboration constructive feedback and ongoing learning.
  • Assist with implementing new workflows technology or training initiatives.
  • Step into a leadership role when the Practice Manager or Medical Director is unavailable.

Qualifications:

  • Active Washington State LVT license in good standing.

  • 3 years of clinical experience as an LVT; previous leadership or mentoring experience preferred.

  • Proficient in anesthesia surgical monitoring radiology lab work dentistry and patient handling client education.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks adapt quickly and stay calm under pressure.

  • A commitment to patient care team growth and ethical standards.

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Full-time flexible 4-day workweek (no weekends!)

  • Competitive hourly wage (DOE) with potential for leadership stipends (Annual Bonus)

  • $1000 Sign-On Bonus

  • Starting wage at $31.50/hr (dependent on experience)
