Role Summary

The Northern Trust Asset Management (NTAM) Investment Performance & Reporting team is responsible for the audit operations and assisting with product development in support of investment performance measurement and data distribution. The Consultant partners with relevant stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of information provided to both internal and external clients. This role requires use of specific performance measurement knowledge to achieve goals through own work.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serves as the subject matter expert for one or more NTAM product offerings

  • Develops knowledge base and familiarity across the entire NTAM product suite

  • Identifies and implements process improvements

  • Participates in projects that affect all stakeholders including portfolio managers client servicing and product teams

  • Thinks critically to solve complex problems

  • Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team

  • Participates in committee meetings or meetings with senior management as well as assisting in meeting preparation.

  • May serve as a mentor and provide informal guidance to junior team members

Necessary Knowledge and Skills

  • Requires expanded conceptual knowledge of the investment management industry specifically investment performance measurement and applications

  • Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work

  • Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations

  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office applications

Necessary Experience and Education

  • A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience

  • Minimum 5 years investment management asset management or performance measurement experience

  • CIPM or CFA a plus

  • Performance measurement experience with fixed income asset class is a plus

Salary Range:

$74200 - 126200 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay.
