The Head of FX Derivatives & ETDS / Clearing oversees and manages the teams supporting the end-to-end Middle Office and Operations processes covering FX OTC Derivatives and ETDs & Clering for SCIB US. Role reports to the US SCIB Pre and Post Trade Head of Markets. Objectives are to 1) Ensure flawless execution of Middle Office and Operations for the products in scope and 2) Support the Business Lines and Clients through the trade lifecycle processes ensuring efficiency and adherence to all policies & procedures as well as ensuring the bank meets all of its regulatory obligations. The role involves leading the FX Derivatives & ETDs/Clearing team leading the department transformation efforts (including policy and process improvements) and maintaining a robust control framework to mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the companys business units. Aims to deliver superior service to clients by driving and optimizing the effectiveness and efficiency of people processes and technology thereby enhancing financial performance increasing investment capacity and managing risk.
Builds the sustainable repeatable capabilities that support delivery of the highest standards of service and execution. Analyzes and reviews data tools business processes and operational standards to execute service delivery.
Evaluates and ensures that operations meet company objectives business needs service agreements and relevant requirements.
Researches and monitors external landscape to identify developments and translate them into operational implications for the company.

Strategic Leadership
Execute comprehensive FX Derivatives & ETDs/Clearing management strategy.
Enhance policies and procedures to comply with relevant regulations and internal standards.
Present and participate in various senior governance forums.

Team Management
Lead mentor and manage the FX Derivatives & ETDs/Clearing team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
Oversee recruitment training and resource allocation to support operational needs.

Operational Oversight
Supervise the execution of all processes related to the area locally.
Enhance and develop the current Outsource service control framwork to ensure a robust governace over outsource activities.
Create a set of KPI and KRI for the departments activity.

Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure all operational processes comply with all the applicable rules and regulations.
Act as the main point of contact for audits and regulatory examinations related to the area.

Transformation / Process Improvement
Lead the departments transformation aligned to Global initiatives and best practices.
Identify and implement technological solutions (in collaboration with Technology) to enhance efficiency and reduce manual work.

Stakeholder Collaboration
Collaborate with Global Markets partners as part of the Global Markets leadership team.
Work closely with CIB Business Lines Compliance Legal Risk Technology and CLM teams to ensure a unified approach to manage risks.
Engage with Auditors Regulators and Third-Party Vendors as required.

Qualifications

Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Proficiency in all Middle Office and Operations processes covering FX OTC Derivatives & ETDs/Clearing.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Sound judgment in decision-making and risk assessment.
Ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement in compliance processes.

Key Competencies:

FINRA Series 99 mandatory or Series 27 desirable. Incumbent will be expected to pass a Series 27 exam after 6 months on the job.

Education:

Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience

Work Experience:

10 Years experience working in a managerial role with responsibility for FX OTC Derivatives ETDs & Clearing Operations or Middle Office teams.

What Else You Need To Know:

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt) the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills experience training licensure and certifications and location.

Base Pay Range

Minimum:

$112500.00 USD

Maximum:

$195000.00 USD
