A Day in the Life

We are currently seeking an experienced and strategic Sr. Director Global Marketing to join our dynamic Endoscopy Operating Unit. As the Sr. Marketing Director you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive growth enhance brand presence and support the success of our portfolio of Endoscopy products. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-impact marketing function delivering results that improve patient outcomes and advance Medtronics mission.

You will be required to work on-site at one of our regional site locations: California and Colorado/ Minnesota locations four (4) days per week. This on-site presence is crucial to fostering collaboration and maintaining a strong connection with our team and the workplace environment. Travel is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Lead the Global Marketing Strategy: Define and execute a global marketing strategy including positioning messaging and channel strategies tailored to different markets.

  • Manage Cross-Functional Marketing Teams: Lead and oversee marketing managers digital marketing communications and product marketing teams to ensure cohesive and impactful marketing efforts.

  • Own the Global Brand and Visual Identity: Maintain a consistent and strong brand presence across all regions ensuring alignment with Medtronics overarching brand strategy.

  • Plan and Execute Multi-Channel Marketing Campaigns: Drive the development and implementation of innovative campaigns across digital partner marketing and other channels to reach target audiences effectively.

  • Collaborate with Sales Product and Business Development Teams: Align marketing efforts with business growth objectives ensuring synergy between marketing and broader organizational goals.

  • Drive Analytics and Performance Measurement: Establish and track KPIs monitor ROI and extract actionable insights to refine and optimize marketing strategies.

  • Plan and Manage a Significant Marketing Budget: Develop and oversee the marketing budget ensuring efficient allocation of resources to meet strategic objectives.

  • Lead Product Launches: Spearhead product launch initiatives including competitive analysis messaging development and creation of compelling marketing assets.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements: To be considered for this role please ensure the minimum requirements are evident on your resume.

  • 15 years of marketing experience including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (Director level or above) with 10 years of managerial experience OR advanced degree with a minimum 13 years of marketing experience including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (Director level or above) with 10 years of managerial experience.

  • Experience working in global companies and managing international teams.

  • Background in marketing for medical devices or tech platforms (strong advantage).

  • Proven experience leading transformation and scaling marketing functions.

  • Successful track record in global markets (EMEA APAC North America).

  • Strong collaboration with Sales and Revenue Operations teams.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications (optional):

  • Strong understanding of relevant tech sectors such as AI cybersecurity cloud etc. depending on our focus.

  • Advanced digital marketing expertise including SEO SEM marketing automation email marketing social media and analytics.

  • Proficiency in product marketing including market research persona mapping competitive analysis and value proposition development.

  • Solid grasp of business development and Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into action.

  • Excellent interpersonal and executive communication skills.

  • Proactive adaptable and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment.

The provided base salary range is used nationally in the United States (except in Puerto Rico and certain CA locations).The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experiencecertification/education market conditions location etc.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$228000.00 - $342000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan.

The base salary range is applicable across the United States excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience certification/education market conditions and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others). .
