We are searching for a Long-Term Care Assistant to join our Cedarstone Enhanced Care team based in Truro Nova Scotia.

About the Opportunity
- Spending one on one time with residents to provide company meaningful and appropriate conversation and support
- Answering call bells and redirecting residents when appropriate
- Supporting residents in recreation programming
- Assisting residents with eating under the direction of nursing staff
- Employee screening including measuring and recording temperatures
- Promoting and enforcing social distancing protocols
- Monitoring points of entry
- Assisting with family visits meal services daily activities and other tasks such as using technology
- Performing light housekeeping duties for residents (bed making linen delivery cleaning)
About You
In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement collaboration and accountability you bring:
- A post-secondary education a valid First Aid & CPR certificate food handlers certificate and/or experience working in a healthcare environment
- Ability to provide a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening upon hire
- Previous work experience that is client focused safety minded and covers a broad skillset
- Available to work shifts on days evenings weekends and holidays
- You are adaptable friendly and eager to provide assistant where necessary
- A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations services and care
