Superintendent Construction Management at Risk (Higher Ed & K-12)

Location: North Carolina (Pembroke Raleigh Fayetteville Columbia Charlotte Myrtle Beach

A respected commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee day-to-day site operations for CM at-Risk projects across North Carolina. The company focuses on K-12 and higher education facilities and specializes in negotiated design-build CMAR and select hard-bid work.

This is a field-based leadership role responsible for ensuring on-time on-budget and high-quality project execution with a strong emphasis on safety coordination and site logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all on-site construction activities and subcontractor coordination
  • Maintain jobsite safety schedule and quality standards
  • Interpret plans and specifications; oversee field execution
  • Manage inspections materials and daily reporting

Requirements

  • 5 years of commercial construction experience; 3 years as a Superintendent
  • Strong background in CMAR or design-build especially in K-12/higher ed projects
  • Ability to lead subcontractors and enforce schedule and quality
  • Proficient in reading plans and using construction software (Procore Bluebeam etc.)
  • Clear professional communicator with strong leadership skills
