PATIENT SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES (PSR) MIT Health is responsible for patient flow and appointment scheduling; front desk tasks including check-in collecting copays and obtaining accurate insurance eligibility information; administrative tasks including phone calls data entry insurance reviews filing and scheduling appointments and procedures to coordinate within and across providers service areas and healthcare facilities; patient contact both in person and by telephone; interacting with internal and external stakeholders by effectively communicating with referral providers and practices to facilitate management of complex patient issues; and providing positive and effective customer service that supports departmental operations.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: High school diploma or GED equivalent; a minimum of two years of relevant experience (e.g. customer service or administrative); ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and to communicate with patients clinicians and other professional staff in a pleasant calming and diplomatic manner; solid organizational skills and the ability to follow through and complete tasks; math proficiency - ability to add subtract multiply and divide with accuracy; and ability to work independently or within a team environment and to work with diverse internal and external constituencies. The PSR will work five 8-hour shifts.
Salary Range: $22.50-$24.00/hour final salary determined by MITs compensation team based on the skills and experience of the person hired.
