A Great Opportunity/$18.00$19.50 / Full Time
At the ViaQuest Foundation our Transition Services team partners with local regional and national businesses and school districts to develop and promote Transition-aged youth in the workplace. We provide work experience opportunities that help Transition-aged youth identify career paths and foster independence. Apply today and make a difference in the lives of the students we serve!
Responsibilities may include:
Responsibilities may include:
- Support and mentor small groups of high school students to develop skills necessary for entering the workforce such as professional development and soft skills training.
- Train and supervise students who may have developmental disabilities to acquire the skills needed to perform specific job tasks work routines and personal life habits.
- Assist students in performing their work responsibilities in a way that fosters independence develop natural supports and help to ensure retention.
- Provide daily job skills training with a focus on community employment and inclusion.
Requirements for this position include:
- Experience within the field of special education developmental disabilities or in a youth-centered field is preferred.
- Professional responsible mature and flexible.
- Knowledge of food industry retail and hospitality services preferred.
- Professionally maintain daily documentation.
