DUTIES:
Pickup and deliver furniture laundry carts and/or raw materials to a fixed or assigned schedule
Assist and supervise the loading of trucks ensure that truck is loaded correctly; assist inmates
in the assembly of Correctional Industries products in the warehouse or at the delivery site
Responsible for performing pre-trip vehicle checks safety checks and inspections daily; maintain
fluid levels and minor repairs
Work with and supervise inmates as needed at the warehouse and in public; occasionally
required to assist in lifting/ moving heavy objects in excess of 100 lbs
Ability to read product assembly and installation blueprints and layouts; install CSI products with
or without assistance
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: At least 18 years of age high school education or equivalent a valid drivers license and must be able to legally possess a firearm and ammunition.
Preferred Qualifications: Equipment maintenance experience. Minimum of two years of experience in loading and driving light or medium sized trucks. Experience in moving and assembling furniture.
Other: Must have a valid Class B CDL or the ability to obtain one within 90 days after completion of the Corrections Training Program.* Basic computer knowledge. Some overtime and overnight stays required. Applicants accepting a job offer must pass the following pre-employment exams in this order: medical exam and at a randomly announced time pass a drug test. Once at the Staff Training Academy must successfully complete the fully paid Nebraska Corrections Training Program.
