Shift: 7:00AM-3:30PM this role is fully remote working out of Arizona


Community Medical Services (CMS) is hiring a Quality Management Coordinator I to provide support to provide support to CMS clinics with accreditation performance and quality improvement. Additionally they prepare and serve as point person to oversight agencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the first contact for all auditing activities from oversight agencies (i.e. CARF DEA State etc.)
  • Facilitates meetings for audit preparation and the creation of short-term corrective action plans
  • Assists Quality and Safety Manager with preparations and ongoing updates for CARF program and administrative standards and CARF surveys for all locations
  • Completes site visit reports and works collaboratively with other Quality Management staff to address issues discovered in the facility
  • Remains aware and informed of all oversight agency and regulations and knows where to find regulations and requirements for all oversight and behavioral health license requirements for all CMS locations
  • Attends external meetings such as oversight agencies or payers as assigned by Quality and Safety Manager
  • Provides training to operations for compliance or quality management as needed
  • Maintains the critical incident reporting database and safety report submissions
  • Fulfills external agency deliverable requirements according to contract or regulation
  • Maintains and completes Methasoft edit requests to ensure clinical documentation aligns with CMS billing practices within a 7-day cycle.
  • Conducts quality review on completed Methasoft edit requests to ensure compliance requirements are met.
  • Conducts quality record reviews to ensure compliance with DEA CARF state and federal performance standards
  • Documents chart reviews in Quality Management Portal and monitors portal for adverse trends
  • Provides training to operations for compliance or quality management as needed
  • Fulfills external agency deliverable requirements according to contract or regulation
  • Performs other duties and works on special projects that are consistent with the general duties of the position
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in behavioral health or science related field or combination of full-time work experience and education totaling at least four years
  • Intermediate computer knowledge
  • Problem solving conflict resolution and strong customer service skills
  • Passion humility integrity positive attitude mission-driven and self-directed
  • Excellent organization skills accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively between all organizational level and with outside providers
  • Uses good judgment and maintains effective boundaries when sharing information about company with staff other providers and members of the community
  • Adheres to and enforces company policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of CARF standards DEA CSAT and state systems is preferred but not required
  • Intermediate understanding of statistical and data analysis


Tools and Equipment:

  • Ability to use a phone computer printer and copier is required
  • Frequent use of Microsoft Office products including Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to use the internet and various web browser software is required


Physical Working Conditions and Office Setting Description:

  • Requires sitting standing and bending associated with an office environment
  • Some lifting may be required
