We are looking for aSpeech Language Pathologistto join our team! This position is working in our Easterseals Gammon Academy which is a certified special education school for youth ages 9-21 that have educational disabilities. Student populations range from students with autism and other neurobehavioral challenges to students with mild cognitive impairments and students with social/emotional disabilities. Our school focuses on academic fundamentals as well as the use of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) to help students develop behavioral and social skills. This skill-building occurs in a structured setting supporting and reinforcing the students developing self-confidence and self-esteem.

The individual in this key position be working to provide services to youth with neurological and or emotional psychological disabilities in a Special Education classroom environment. As a Speech Language Pathologist you will evaluate communication skills develop a comprehensive plan and provide therapies. You will instruct and counsel students and school staff attend IEP meetings and department meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree or its equivalent in the field of Speech Pathology
  • Current state Speech Speech/Language Pathology Language
  • Three years experience working with young children as a Speech/ Language Pathologist is preferred.
  • Experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and speech generating devices is a plus!
  • A valid drivers license and reliable transportation

Hours:Part-Time 24 hours / week

Compensation:$45.19 per hour.
