Job Description
The vision of the Arlington Public Schools is to be an equitable educational community where all learners feel a sense of belonging experience growth and joy and are empowered to shape their own futures and contribute to a better world.
We are looking for a licensed English as a Second Language Teacher to work in multiple preschool and elementary schools supporting Multilingual Learners. We want caring educators who will collaborate with general education teachers special education teachers staff and families to best support students. This is a one year appointment to cover for a teacher on a full year leave of absence.
Valid Massachusetts DESE teaching licensure ESL is required.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 183 Days
REPORTS TO:Director of MLL and Principal
Arlington has a well established new teacher induction program with mentoring throughout the school year.
Salary and Benefits are consistent with theCollective Bargaining Agreement between the Arlington School Committee and the Arlington Education Association.
TheSalary Scheduleis on our website. Salary placement is based on Education and Experience.
