Position Highlights
Spencer Hospital is a rural hospitallocated in northwest Iowa employing over 500 employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers if accepted are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.
Summary:
- The Medical Oncology Nurse is responsible for providing direct and indirect physical psychosocial and spiritual care for patients with cancer and other related disease processes
- The oncology nurse will also act as the patients advocate and educator
Requirements:
- IA RN license or compact state
- Oncology Certification (OCN) is preferred but not mandatory
- Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Certification required prior to completion of orientation/chemo administration
Schedule:
- PRN
- M-F
- 7:30a-5p
- The schedule may fluctuate based upon needs of the department
