Job Summary/Description:
Edit and produce video clips that need to be inserted into news rundowns for broadcasts. Additionally this position requires the employee to produce news stories on our website and add video to many online stories. The position is Part-Time and the Salary/Wage is $15.50/hr.
Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Write and produce news sports and weather stories for our website.
- Add video to some stories on our website.
- Shoot breaking news when it happens.
- Learning how to operate our digital news desk to help produce segments.
- Proper news writing / AP style is important.
- Have correct news judgment.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Understand AP newsroom software
- Degree in Broadcast Journalism or similar
- Ability to learn editing software
- Work as a team in a busy newsroom
- Know and understand AP newsroom writing
