Job Summary
Summary
Responsible for managing and administering employee benefits programs through developing and implementing comprehensive benefits strategies to attract and retain top talent promote employee well-being and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Essential Functions
-Oversee the design implementation and administration of employee benefits programs including health insurance (medical dental vision) wellness initiatives and other benefits.
-Oversee strategic and day-to-day program and vendor management for health insurance programs. Manage vendors with respect to service delivery communications key performance measures procurements rate/fee negotiation and optimization.
-Serve as a lead project manager and contact for cross-departmental teams across health insurance projects and ensure progress against established objectives timelines quality and deliverables.
-Ensure the benefits programs comply with federal state and local laws including ERISA ACA HIPAA and other applicable regulations.
-Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies and manage audits related to benefits programs.
-Coordinate annual benefits enrollment processes and provide guidance to employees on available benefits options.
-Develop and deliver comprehensive benefits communication and education programs to promote understanding and utilization of benefits.
-Collaborate with benefits providers brokers and third-party administrators to negotiate contracts monitor services and ensure a high level of service for employees.
-Analyze benefits data and utilization trends to identify opportunities for cost optimization and improved employee satisfaction.
-Conduct benchmarking and competitive analysis of benefits packages to ensure the hospital remains competitive in the healthcare industry.
Education
- Bachelors Degree Human Resources Management required or Bachelors Degree Related Field of Study required or Masters Degree Related Field of Study preferred
Experience
- Benefits administration; plan policy and design; employee relations experience 3-5 years required
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- - Strong knowledge of employee benefits laws regulations and compliance requirements.
- - Excellent understanding of benefits plan design vendor negotiations and benefits cost analysis.
- - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with employees HR team members and external vendors.
- - Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to make informed benefits decisions.
