Job Description

The North America (NA) Transportation Network Design Team is accountable to the network design of Amazons outbound fulfillment supply chain. This team is responsible for defining the connectivity strategies that bring our customers packages at the fastest speed and lowest cost possible. Our initiatives deliver on the solutions that power the physical fulfillment to millions of customers across the world.

As part of the NA Transportation Network Design Team you will partner closely with other Amazon Departments such as Operations Engineering Finance and Research Science in order to design connectivity that meets the needs of our customers. We will also look to you for evaluation and implementation of new processes that will improve our transportation network and planning systems. This position is specifically focused on the network design and efficiencies for Ship with Amazon and additional Unified Reverse Logistics (URL) programs.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop financial models comparing different network design strategies
- Provide support on long-term supply chain and capacity planning and forecasting
- Provide analysis and recommendations for business lanes with quantitative justification
- Provide day-to-day support during the rollout/implementation of newer systems/processes and gather feedback
- Support complex ad-hoc analysis and recommendations
- Publish weekly metrics reports in order for business teams (retail transportation fulfillment centers and customer service centers) to take proactive actions to improve customer experience
- Support management team in metrics understanding and analysis
- Map business requirements understand business process study and analyze workflows design solutions and prepare functional specifications

About the team
The North America Transportation Network Design Teams mission is to innovate the means in which customer orders flow from origin fulfillment to final mile destinations. We compare established baseline processes and flows to a series of alternatives to test new ways in which Amazon can deliver faster speed and lower cost for our customers. Our vision for the future is one where delivery speed scales faster than Amazons catalog selection. We believe speed should be guaranteed through a resilient network design. - 3 years of program or project management experience
- 3 years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3 years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- 2 years of supply chain experience
- Bachelors degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

- 3 years of driving end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3 years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes project management and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $77200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
