Position Overview: Always Best Care of Fairfax is seeking a compassionate and dedicatedCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA)to providepersonalized in-home carefor a single client living withParkinsons Disease. Thispart-time positioninvolves12-hour shiftsin aresidential home setting focusing on enhancing the clients quality of life throughassistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)companionshipsocial engagement andsupport for attending events and activities. The ideal candidate will be committed to helping the client live afull engaged and dignified life despite the challenges of Parkinsons.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure the client remains socially and mentally engaged throughout the day
- Provide personal care tailored to the needs of an individual with Parkinsons Disease including assistance with ADLs (bathing dressing grooming toileting etc.)
- Escort the client to medical appointments social events and community activities
- Collaborate closely with family members healthcare professionals and other care professionals to maintain a consistent and high-quality continuum of care
Qualifications:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with active license in the state of Virginia
- Experience caring for individuals with Parkinsons Disease or forms of dementia strongly preferred
- Physically able to assist with transfers using gait belts or other mobility aids
- Valid drivers license and access to reliable transportation
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate client-centered approach
