Work Schedule:
70% FTE 28 Hours per week. Shifts scheduled Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Hours may vary based on the needs of the clinic.
Pay:

We are seeking an Optician (ABO NCLE) to:
Join the UW Health Eye Care Team who provides comprehensive care to patients of all ages.
Assist patients with selecting the right fit shape style of eyewear and dispense contact lenses.
Perform eye-glass repairs and adjustments.
Educate patients and families on proper eye-wear care.

Education:
Minimum
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred
Completion of an accredited Optician Vision Care Program
Some continued education courses
Work Experience:
Minimum
Computer experience required
Previous eye care experience
Preferred
One or more years optician experience
Lab training or experience preferred
Contact lens training or experience preferred
Optical lab experience and/or optometric technician experience
One or more years of work experience with processing insurance claims
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum
Obtain ABO Certification within 18-months or three (3) testing periods from the date of hire and maintain the certification
Preferred
American Board of Opticianry (ABO) Certification and/or National Contact Lens (NCLE) Certification
