Position Summary
The Manager of Certification will provide specialized support and guidance to classified and certificated employees within the region who are working towards obtaining their teaching credentials. The manager will assist employees in navigating the credentialing process ensuring they meet the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) requirements and offer resources to help employees transition successfully into teaching roles. This role requires a deep understanding of the teacher credentialing process excellent communication skills and the ability to guide employees through each step of their certification journey.

Knowledge required:
Strong knowledge of Californias teacher credentialing process and the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) regulations.
Understanding of various teacher preparation pathways and credential types (e.g. Multiple Subject Single Subject and Special Education).
Familiarity with the process for transitioning classified staff into teaching roles including support for non-traditional pathways.
Skills required:
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to explain complex credentialing requirements in a clear and supportive manner.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and familiarity with credentialing software or google suit. .
Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Physical Mental and Environmental Demands
Physical: Ability to navigate office and school campuses and hold meetings in different spaces. Traditionally much of the day involves sitting. Ability to access and utilize technology. Occasional lifting/carrying of equipment 1-20 lbs. Physical agility to move self in various positions in order to execute duties effectively which may include kneeling walking pushing/pulling squatting twisting turning bending stooping and reaching overhead
Mental: Stress of deadlines and normal work standards ability to analyze problems and generate alternatives work with interruptions concentrate for long periods of time read calculate perform routine math problems memorize and recall objects and people.
Environmental: Office environment. Occasional school environment and travel. KIPP adheres to health and safety guidelines as outlined by the CDC CDE and public health agencies recommendations.
Classification
This is a full-time position based on a full year calendar year based out of our Regional Support Office with occasional travel to schools and districts.
The KIPP Regional Support Office operates in a hybrid environment. Most positions can expect to work in person 2 days per week and remotely the remaining days subject to change based on the needs of the role.

We benchmark annually against comparably-sized non-profit organizations in the regions where we operate to offer competitive salaries. The salary range for this position is between $89000 and $107000. Most candidates would be compensated at $95000.
