Responsibilities
- Support the Mill Operator with machine adjustments including deburr and de-dimple equipment. Team members rotate between workstations based on their experience and skill level gaining exposure to different parts of the process as they learn.
- Assist with quality checks tooling changes and machine setups ideal for mechanically inclined individuals.
- Learn entry-level welding and finishing processes such as TIG welding and spray painting.
- Maintain the scarf and bead winding station with guidance from experienced team members.
- Operate a forklift to move raw materials or finished products.
- Perform process checks basic rework and complete required production paperwork.
- Clear minor jams and support machine troubleshooting youll receive ongoing support from experienced operators.
- Help maintain production schedule and product flow on the floor.
- Keep a safe and clean work environment in accordance with company safety standards.
Qualifications
- Must be comfortable using measuring tools such as tape measures (experience using calipers and micrometers a major plus)
- Forklift experience is a plus but not required willing to train.
- Must be willing to learn take direction and work as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively and stay organized on a busy floor.
- Must be able to read and interpret basic mechanical prints training support available.
- Strong interest in mechanical tasks and hands-on work.
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds (team lifting support provided as needed).
- Basic math skills (add subtract multiply and divide).
